I bought this for me (unfortunately, not on Amazon). Inside the box, I read on the printed instructions that "Skate Buds(tm) are not suitable for children under 8 years of age or persons in excess of 150 lbs". Since I'm above 160lbs, I asked for a refund and was denied... because I had opened the box! How was I supposed to know I can't use it if the instructions are *inside* the box, there's no such info outside the box and I wasn't told about this limitation? I even contacted the importer of the product by phone (2 Monkey Trading), but they also said they could do nothing about it. It seems that their policy is to get your money and forget about you. They even reduced the age limit on the safety instructions in their website to *under 5 years* (instead of the "8 years" I have on the printed manual), which I suspect could be a move to sell more units at the risk of hurting your children, but it's up to you to judge if you should risk your children with this or not.
