(More customer reviews)I bought a pair ofthese shoes a little over a week ago. They arrived in half the time estimated (4 business days instead of 7-9).
They are of excellent quality. The upper is made of black suede leather. Real. Leather. The liner is a smooth but durable cloth with a feel like satin. The sole and wraparound are made of strong rubber, fused completely at the joint of the two and joined strongly to the shoe's upper.
I bought these shoes because I need a pair of black shoes to wear to work. They have proven to be exactly what I need. The shoe fits well, true to size. They are comfortable, and seem quite durable. The whole shoe is made well, with real rubber and leather; made to last. I have been wearing them to work for a few days.
I find them to be very easy to wear for all day, even though at work I have to be on my feet for hours at a time. They don't offer much in the way of support, being similar to flatter shoes such as Converse All Stars in that they have a simple, flat shoe bed.
The shoes get EXCELLENT traction. They are easy to walk in on all types of surfaces. One caveat of these shoes is that if you wear no-show socks that do not cover the backs of your ankles (as I do), the back of the shoe can rub your skin raw from walking for extended period of time. With other Types of socks, this is no problem.
IN SUMMARY
PROS: fabulous quality, made to last, very comfortable in daily wear
CONS: not a lot of support, stiff back can be irritating
All in all, Tim Tim designs a great shoe, and Element is a excellent maker of quality shoes. I would purchase these again without a second thought.
