(More customer reviews)All the segments by Trennon Paynter are really good -- lots of great tips and over-explanation. That's pretty much exactly what I hoped for when I bought this video. (He focuses on jumps, popping, grabs and 360s and switch 360s.)
I learned more in his segments than most of the others combined. And that's cool, because honestly, I need help with some of those basics rather than hucking a 900. (That said, I think Mike Riddle's piece on 540s, 720s and 900s was one of the better explained segments.) Example: I've been staring down the lip of the jump, and DUH, I should be spotting the landing even while I'm riding up the kicker.
But for some of the basics like rails and boxes? I dunno, the instruction simply wasn't very good. The kids they got (and yes, I'm saying kids because I'm a grumpy old man who plays in the park) aren't thinking too deeply about how to teach. There are a few decent tips, but on the whole, not very good.
If you watch the whole video, you'll piece together enough tips to take the next step in the park, whatever that happens to mean for you.
Considering there's nothing else out there, I gave it 4 stars. It's totally worth buying, just don't expect perfection.
