Razor E100/125/150 Electric Scooter battery Review

Razor E100/125/150 Electric Scooter battery

I ordered a part that was listed as the replacement part needed for the E100 Razor Scooter, but when it arrived it was not the correct part. When I ordered this part I actually trusted that this would be the part needed. Once I received the part I took apart the scooter and discovered the single battery should have been a dual battery with buit-in wires (sealed wires). When I contacted the company for a refund, I was told that I would have to pay the return shipping. The return shipping would cost more then the part itself and I had already paid that amount in the beginning... I would have actually spent about 3 times what the cost should have been, so needless to say that cost would not be very wise. Like I explained, that was the part the company SAID I needed form the scooter. During conversations I was told that was the "exact" part that I had ordered and they would not pay for my return shipping. My last contact from them stated, "I am very unfamiliar with the harnesses, it is something that we have never sold before. The only ones I have seen they areclipped on. Let me know what you deceide to do." The only option they ever gave me was to pay for the return shipping or order a second one at half price. Thanks but no thanks... My wife found the CORRECT part at another company and it was listed correctly...

Buying a set of protective gear for a slim 3 year old girl over the Internet is a challenge, as most of the sets are made for kids 5 yo and older.
This set was exactly what we were looking for. This fits really nicely and tight.
A must have for young bike riders and razor scooter early adopters.

X-Treme Scooters Kids Electric Scooter Review

X-Treme Scooters Kids Electric Scooter
Average Reviews:

We got this scooter for our 5 yo daughter for Christmas, now its September and we are throwing it out. I will say it was used a lot. Riders: ALWAYS wear a helmet!

The Good:
- charge. This thing runs a long time. Very impressed with that aspect of it. Nice charger with lights (although they were backwards from what was said in the manual.)
- Variable throttle.
- Light weight.
- Moves even my 200 lbs at a good speed.

The Bad:
- The wheels suck - hard wheels. DO NOT GET A SCOOTER WITH HARD WHEELS. It really sucks trying to get over any sort of rough terrain, even rough asphalt. Get inflated tires. Also, when we adjusted the brakes to give sufficient stopping power, you easily wear off part of the wheel and then its no longer round. You can hear the scooter go "thump - thump" a mile away and it jiggles the rider because of the worn out wheel. Got another for $16 from them, but a) its a BEAR to install and b) it wore out the first day. Note this was due to the brakes failing and then you're stuck with either you have too much braking or not enough due to the worn out brake parts. Not willing to spend the $ to repair/replace.

- The construction is not quality. All welds have broken. I was lucky to have a iron fence guy at our house and he re-tack welded.

- The control unit has now failed. Won't charge at all.

- Brakes stopped working very soon. Its a steel band that tightens on a drum. Found it to be super touchy. If adjusted too much, you wear out the tire as described, or you don't get much braking.

- only 90 day warranty. I'm done with this scooter, going in the trash (after we recycle the battery).

So, we got our $100 out of it, but we were hoping for a longer life. Now looking at other brands.

I ordered the EZIP 1000 several months ago and have been thoroughly impressed with the value for the money that the scooter has provided since I received it.I originally purchased the scooter to run around my neighborhood. However, I have found myself using it far more than I imagined. The scooter folds up easily so I am able to put it in my car and use it in a variety of places and on various terrains.....it runs great on sidewalks, concrete, grass, and dirt.I weigh 200+lbs and the scooter provides plenty of power and zip.Riding the scooter is very smooth and it's easy to steer thanks to the full suspension.Additionally, the scooter is very quiet.I have enjoyed this scooter very much and would highly recommend it!

Razor Scooter Replacement Wheels Set with Bearings Review

Razor Scooter Replacement Wheels Set with Bearings
Average Reviews:

My son who is 10 and about 70 pounds is probably getting too big for his razor.Because he uses the brake a lot and practices jumps, he wore out his previous wheels. This caused his scooter to rattle since the wheels were no longer round. These new wheels have a wider rubber part, which makes the ride softer, but also wear down faster. It wasn't 30 minutes of [hard] use until they were not round either. There is a different model of wheel with a wider piece of hard plastic inside the rubber. We ended up getting those and they wear better under our conditions.

Razor Aggressive Youth Multi-Sport Helmet (Satin Blue) Review

Razor Aggressive Youth Multi-Sport Helmet
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
We bought this for our 9-yr old son to wear with his electric Razor scooter, pogo stick, and skate board. He already is use to wearing a bike helmet and a downhill ski helmet. We are trying to get him use to safety equipment as we progress to rock climbing, kayak, mountain biking, etc. This helmet is sturdy and well-made.It was easy to fit, although it only comes with two interior pads to use in the overall adjustment; one pad is thicker than the other. The pads stay in place with velcro. It sits very well on his head and stays in place. The chin strap probably has too much stapping, so I ended up rolling the extra and taping it.The straps are anchored at the sides; as far as I can tell they do not interconnect from one side (ear area) to another. This means the side with the receptor part of the clasp is limited in its adjustment, but I can't imagine this to be an issue.Overall, an excellent product:sturdy, easy-to-fit, large coverage, cool color.

I would not recommend buying an X-Treme scooter.I bought two, each from a different vendor. One scooter arrived with a broken on/off switch and the drive belt on the second one broke within two weeks. The manufacturer will not replace either scooter and is very slow to send the correct parts.
Because the scooters were Christmas presents for two of my grandsons, I actually bought a Razor scooter to replace the X-Treme scooter that arrived damaged. The Razor scooter arrived in perfect condition and my grandson is very happy with it.We are still waiting for the replacement belt for the second X-treme scooter. Hopefully it will arrive and both grandsons will have a working scooter. In the meantime, I am stuck with an X-treme scooter I neither want nor need.

Razor A3 Kick Scooter (Blue, Clear, or Red) Review

Razor A3 Kick Scooter

This Razor A3 scooter is a great step up from the inexpensive, less robust scooters you'll find in many stores.Very strong: my 11-year-old weighs about 100 pounds and it has easily absorbed use and abuse from him and his friends for months.
The large wheels are a great feature, as is a neat adjustment which you can use to keep the handle secure to the base without rattling. The hand grips are very comfortable, and are also the part most likely to wear first, but they are easy to replace if you ever need to.

Scooter is sturdy, well made and looks great! It glides smoothly and handles nicely. Low to the ground with nice handle bars and grips. I bought this for my grand daughters three years ago and
they had never ridden anything but little kid toys. Each easily learned to handle and ride with very few mishaps. I think it is pretty safe for a ride-on type toy. (we bought helmets and thankfully have never had any bad landings). Now three years later I am still watching them ride working up a good healthy
sweat and loving it!! So, I just purchased scooter number 4 for
one of the girls who has practically worn the wheels off (I hope
I can talk her into the replacement of her favorite toy). She is nine now, the age where girls need outdoor exercise and fun.
WELL WORTH THE MONEY!!A GOOD CHOICE FOR KIDS MOVING UP TO BIG KID TOYS.

Razor Pro Model Scooter Review

Razor Pro Model Scooter
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought an A2 for my wife, and because she didn't want to ride by herself--and I'm bigger and heavier--I bought this Razor Pro thinking it was simply made sturdier and nothing more.I also happen to be an avid cyclist of many years so I can really tell the differences.

Turns out there are huge differences between this Pro model and the others--to the point where I could say the others are toys and this is actually sports equipment/transportation.

*The stability in steering is much better on this one.

*The wheels are thicker, which I'm sure contributes to its ability to hold a line better--though I have to say the A2 is not bad either.

*It's faster, and since the ride is a lot more stable it's actually much safer to ride this going fast than the others.

*I believe this is actually made of a higher quality of aluminium.

*Overall it's made of a heavier construction more appropriate for those who are going to do more on it than go back and forth on the sidewalk.

Bottom Line: For the price difference here on Amazon (the A2 being about $40 and the Pro being roughly $50) it's worth it to spend the extra $10 on the Pro.

This isn't just a toy like the others. You can actually enjoy the ease and convenience of riding this thing to the store and back, or through the middle of an urban environment adding to both your enjoyment and convenience without having to lock it up outside when you enter a building--or being prohibited from entering a store like you would with Roller Blades without changing to shoes first.

And as a 5'10" adult male, I can say this is a better fit--though the A2 isn't bad either in that respect.

Currie Technologies e-Zip E750 Electric Scooter Review

Currie Technologies e-Zip E750 Electric Scooter
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I wanted a scooter to take around town instead of using my gas guzzling car. I had a 49cc scooter, but I sold it and got this instead. Even though it goes half of the speed of the gas scooter, it's much much quieter (not that it doesn't make a sound, it does). It was pretty easy to get together and I zipping around in no time. I'm never going back to a gas scooter or bike again.

Advantages:

No pollution
The handlebars fold up and seat comes off very easily, like a Dahon folding bike, for easy storage
Smooth ride

Disadvantages:

Not really powerful. This is for moving around town, not going on long rides.
Range. It goes 12 miles. Which means, going at a constant maximum speed, you'd get almost 50 minutes of use of it.
