It's great for getting to class or just tearing up the roads. The hardware that comes with the board is decent excluding the bearing, which you should immediately throw away.

Putting the "rad" in radius. Clean lines, great colors, and a little flip-flop-flair make the Venice and Pier the freshest boards on the boardwalk. The Venice is a 44" Nomad cruiser, with 65mm Balance wheels, which get going quick and grip the road. The Pier is a 27" Shovel, a perfect board for getting from here to there with a trick or two in between. The Pier features super soft 57mm Vicious wheels, so when the road gets rough you keep the fillings in your teeth.

Sector 9 Bamboo Series "Ours" Longboard Complete Skateboard Review

(More customer reviews)I've been looking for a board like this for a while and stumbled on this in a skate shop that I was actually just visiting to kill some time. When I saw this, I had to have it. I've always been a fan of this retro shape (flat deck, flat nose, and decent sized kick tail), but have only ever seen it on smaller boards. The board I've always wanted was something in the 36" to 40" range with this exact shape.

Unfortunately, many of the longboards I run into these days are either pin tails or double kicks with overly complicated designs. These designs may be "functional", but in my opinion they always end up looking kind of funny. This board is a definite exception to that trend and is worth every penny. Being a bit shorter than average (5'7") I find this board long enough to have a nice, stable, downhill ride, but short enough to take advantage of the kick tail. The bamboo with the clear grip also adds to the sexy look of this board, plus it's eco friendly!

I've been around since Sector 9 first started hitting the shelves in the 90's and this board is a clear example of the innovation coming from this company. If you're looking for a retro look in the 36" range, get this board.

(More customer reviews)Ok, seriously, I love this board. I've had it for about a month and a half now, and I ride it everywhere. Its the best carving board I've ridden, but its you're not about to really do any cool tricks on it (unless you call riding the nose a "cool" trick), but its super fast and super smooth. It's got Randall 180 trucks on it, 70mm whells which are nice and sticky, and medium bushings. The Greaseball Abec 5 bearings it comes with are pretty quick, but wear out quickly. I suggest switching them out for some Bones Swiss; they're a bit more expensive, but well worth it. Enjoi!

(More customer reviews)This particular longboard was the first one I've ever purchased, so naturally I had some reservations about purchasing it online through Amazon. What I recieved was a really good longboard that I hope to use far into the future. It rides well, provides good turning that gets me through even the tightest crowds at school.I use it primarily to get around campus and it works great.A little hefty, but manageable.

When I first got the board it had an unexplainable rattle that worried me, so I took it to a friend and we worked out the problem--tightened the trucks and wheels. That worked a little, so then we tried taking off all the wheels for good measure.What we found was that instead of having washers on both sides, as per usual, there were only washers on one side of the wheel.He had some spares so we just added those to the longboard, and it has been smooth sailing.Hopefully this was an isolated incident.If not, the washers are pretty cheap to get.

All in all a solid longboard.$130 was a decent price, and it rides great, not to mention looks beautiful.I have gotten many complements (many from seasoned boarding vets) about its appearance.

(More customer reviews)I've owned a cheap pair of "core" wheels, and a good pair of "sector 9s", but there's something about the "Loaded Boards Orangatang in Heat Skate Wheels" thats above par than the rest.

Smooth ride, and I feel like they could roll for eternity. They're nice and wide and never stingy with control. As soon as I pushed off the first time, I was truly devoted. I'm planning on getting the purple ones next.

Best to purchase some quality bearings (bones red) if you get these wheels.
