Problem is that they are not long enough to cover the top of my calf, thus if I wear these, I get velcro bite from my shin pads.Would only recommend these for folks who are more towards the large size than XL.

(More customer reviews)I picked these up at a Pro Shop, and my 9 yr. old son (has been playing travel hockey for 5 years)just told me to please buy 4 more pair!He also said - why did you spend $17+ on socks? - After their first wear, he loved them - they're a little tough to get on at first, but the support, feel, wicking features, etc. make it all worth the money.Although I haven't yet washed them - I'm sure they'll be fine - if not, I'll add an updated comment. - He loved the colors too!
