K2 Marlee Inline Skates Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Bought these for my 8 year old daughter to replace her department store skates. What a difference in quality and workmanship. The high boot gives tons of ankle support, the wheels roll really well and she very quickly went from teetering down the street to zooming around the block. Good skates make a huge difference!

Product Description:
Considered the company's "house blend" by the good folks at K2, the Athena 2.1 women's fitness skate is built around K2's proprietary Softboot--a proven combination of comfort and control. The Softboot offers such features as standard ankle lacing, a stability cuff, and an Exo composite frame, which combine to offer serious support for new and experienced skaters alike. Each skate also includes a power strap that wraps around the ankle along with an adjustable buckle, adding to the snugness of the fit. And thanks to the 78 mm wheels and ABEC 5 bearings, skaters are assured of a smooth, controlled ride every time they hit the pavement. The skates, which come in a variety of sizes (4.0 to 11.0), are backed by a one-year warranty.
About K2
In February of 1961 the first pair of fiberglass skis was produced by brothers Bill and Don Kirschner in their Vashon Island, Washington shop. The Kirscners, avid skiers, built fiberglass animal cages for medical use and were convinced that their process could build a ski that was lighter, stronger, and more lively than the wood and metal skis of the day. They really just wanted to build some cool skis for themselves and their friends. And the rest, as they say, is history. Much has changed since those early days on sleepy Vashon Island, but one thing has not: K2 is still a bunch of adrenaline junkies who just want to make some cool stuff for themselves and their friends.
Today, K2 Inc. is a premier, branded consumer products company with a portfolio of leading brands including Shakespeare and Stearns for marine and outdoor products, Rawlings and Worth for team sports, K2 and Brass Eagle for action sports, and Marmot and Ex Officio for apparel and footwear. K2's diverse products includes fishing, watersports activities, baseball, softball, alpine skiing, snowboarding, and inline skating.

K2 Radical 90 Women's In-Line Skates Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I am writing this review on behalf of my wife, who was the recipient of these skates. She was blading before I met her, and we've been together 20 years. Needless to say she is quite good, and has been through her fair share of skates over the years. Typically, I buy her a new pair every year. No more. These skates are the be-all, end-all. The brake was detachable, which made her happy beyond belief, and the skates even came with a more narrow replacement rear axle for proper wheel fit after the removal.

The wife is more of a figure-skating type; she puts her headphones on and forgets herself as she dances and grooves to the music. These skates give unparalleled fit and control, and the lowered cuff offers extended flexibility through the ankle, which increases control and speed. The fit and finish was superb, and the pictures you see on the 'net do nothing for how awesome these skates are in person. They even look like professional skates!

The best. Would wholeheartedly recommend! K2 rocks!

K2 Athena Women's In-Line Skates Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I love these skates! My first time using them was a little painful. They were a bit tight, but all I had to do is loosen the strings up a little and they felt so much better my next time around. They work great and provide a pretty nice, smooth ride. Not to mention they look good! Much better then my cheap Target pair. Overall I feel these are a great pair of skates and I highly recommend them.
