Razor PowerWing Caster Scooter Review

My kids, ages 6, 8, & 14 love this scooter. When they are at school, I ride it--I'm 39.Doesn't go as well uphill, or even a small incline, without manual pushes on the ground with your foot, but otherwise you can get it to roll around with both feet up, simply by swaying your body from side to side.It is an excellent design.I absolutely love it and so do my kids. Gets them out from behind the video games for a while.

Razor A2 Kick Scooter Review

Razor A2 Kick Scooter

Scooter is sturdy, well made and looks great! It glides smoothly and handles nicely. Low to the ground with nice handle bars and grips. I bought this for my grand daughters three years ago and
they had never ridden anything but little kid toys. Each easily learned to handle and ride with very few mishaps. I think it is pretty safe for a ride-on type toy. (we bought helmets and thankfully have never had any bad landings). Now three years later I am still watching them ride working up a good healthy
sweat and loving it!! So, I just purchased scooter number 4 for
one of the girls who has practically worn the wheels off (I hope
I can talk her into the replacement of her favorite toy). She is nine now, the age where girls need outdoor exercise and fun.
WELL WORTH THE MONEY!!A GOOD CHOICE FOR KIDS MOVING UP TO BIG KID TOYS.

Product Description:
The original kick scooter just got a whole lot better, making it even more fun for kids and teens alike. Though it'll never replace the internal combustion engine, the Razor A2 will get your child from point A to point B much quicker than on foot alone, and requires just a few scoots of one's shoes in the process. Plus, it's a blast to use, as your progeny will likely attest.
The Razor A2 is built of aircraft-grade aluminum, a sturdy material that holds up to use and abuse through the years. Razor combined the traditional aluminum construction, however, with a number of recent innovations, including a springless shock system that makes bumpy pavement feel smoother than ever and an all-new wheelie bar that guarantees an extra dollop of fun. Add in the foldable T-tube and deck, which tuck together to create a compact footprint (ideal for carrying when riding isn't appropriate), and you have a great kick scooter for virtually any situation. Other details include an enhanced finger guard, 98 mm inline-style wheels, and a patented rear fender brake for quick stops.
This version of the Razor A2, which weighs around 6 pounds and supports up to 143 pounds, and is recommended for ages 5 and older. It's also backed by a six-month warranty. For the next step up, try the Razor A3 Scooter.
Key Features:

For riders ages 5 and older
    Sturdy aluminum construction
    Weighs approximately six pounds
    Rear fender brake
    Enhanced finger guard
    Patented folding mechanism
    143-pound user weight capacity
    Six-month warranty

The buyer and rider of the Razor A2 scooter are responsible for knowing and obeying all local, state, and federal regulations regarding the riding and use of scooters.

Razor Carver Kick Scooter with Trucks Review

Razor Carver Kick Scooter with Trucks

I got one of these Razor Carvr scooters for my wife, who isn't too comfortable on the 2-wheeled Razor A kick scooters that my three sons (8, 5, and 5 yrs. old) zoom around on.The three wheeled design looked appealing for a person who lacks neither ability or balance, but rather confidence.

I noted right away that this scooter isn't constructed of the high grade and lightweight aluminum that the other Razor scooters are made of.The Carvr is made of welded steel, so it is rather heavy, especially since it has a skateboard truck (also made of steel) in the back with a pretty cool friction brake.Even the steerer tube and handles are made of steel, though it looks like I could easily swap one of the aluminum steerer tubes and handles from one of the Razor A scooters to the Carvr easily.I suspect this scooteris made of steel to save on production cost, as nothing on this scooter screams out high quality.

Ride and handling are o.k., though I must point out that the 2-wheeled Razor A scooters are faster, and handle better.Since this Carvr will be used by an adult rider, I found the bushing on the rear truck too soft.I changed the smaller of the two bushings with a firmer bushing that I had handy. This made the Carvr easier to ride.If the Carver is leaned too much, the brake mechanism actually rubs on the rear wheels. Not something you would want to happen in a fast tight turn!!

I also removed the steering damper right away.I don't understand the purpose of this rubber bushing that resists turning of the steering at all.

It is a shame that this Carvr scooter will never see a modest to steep hill, so we won't be able to see if the scooter lives up to it's name for carving down hills.I suppose the fact that there are two skateboard wheels in back as opposed to one relatively thin scooter wheel would give this scooter better grip on the road to avoid sliding out when carving down relatively steep hills.
