REFLEX UTILITOOL-BLACK Review

Of course you can purchase individual tools for a total cheaper price than this tool. However, this tool completely works for me because it is all-in-one. I have quad roller skates (both figure skating dance skates and speed skates) and I take private lessons and skate at the rink 2-3 times a week. I do not feel like dragging around a whole bunch of separate metal tools in my skate bag. All I do is throw this one tool in my bag and I feel covered if I had a problem with my skates and need a tool. Also I like that it has a bearing remover and press that I recently used when I cleaned the bearings of my speed skates recently.

I thought this wouldn't fit my head, but luckily it did! hehe! anyway. This product is durable and you eally need this to be safe. I have already fallen many times with this product and I still have no scratch (though you should see a chiropractor to be safe). I would recommend this to anyone who is going to start some risky sports, you will need a lot of padding too!

I'm so excited about my new skates. They're comfortable and not too stiff. No blisters even with the first skate sessions. They're fast and they look good. They are sized in men's sizes but I am female.I didn't know what size to get.I read the sizing guide which suggested the size below your normal shoe size if you are a female.I'm a half size however.I instead bought the size below what the sizing chart suggested. So for 8.5 ladies, buy the size 7.They fit and are not too small.I'm very happy!

Chicago Bullet Quad Speed Skates Review

I have had nothing but trouble with these skates. I got them as a Christmas present because I wanted to try out for the local roller derby league and thought I should get some practice under my belt before-hand since I haven't skated in 15 years.

The first time I wore the skates I barely made it around the rink once because some of the wheels weren't spinning and the trucks were so loose they were actually touching the base of the boot and wore a grove into the plastic! I had everything adjusted by someone who knows what they're doing and they noticed the bearings were smashed but thought they'd be OK for what I needed.

The skates still made me feel extra clumsy, like I was tipping over (by this time I had used the rentals enough to know I could get around OK).I tried to skate through it and only spent about an hour and a half on them altogether. When I got home, I realized that the whole skate was bent which was why I felt like I was leaning (I was!) and also why the wheels were touching the edges of the boot. Oh, and the wheels were actually fraying, but that was the least of my safety issues.

Bottom line, for $50 no it's not worth the struggling and risk of injury that they brought. I ended up buying some Riedell R-3's at the suggestion of some veteran skaters and I couldn't be happier. They cost a bit more but are so worth it when it means I'm not constantly falling and cursing my feet!

They get the 1 star because the boots were comfortable and because I don't think you can give no stars. Maybe these would be OK skates for children, but other than that I wouldn't waste my money.

I purchased these skates a couple years ago from another web site. They are great skates, feel great on the feet. All around nice quality. I was a very serious skater when I was a teen and owned a pair of $300 Rydell skates..I paid $135 for these and they are just as good. I skate with my daughter now.

when my skates came they only came with ABEC-3, when in the description they say ABEC-5.I was a little irritated, but I had already planned to switch the bearings with bones reds anyways.I wear a size 7 and ordered a men's size 6.The boot seemed a little narrow, and was a little tight. After a few hours of skating the boot seemed to break in, and is now really comfortable. The wheel nuts where on way to tight when I recieved the skates. After putting in new bearings and adjusting the wheel nuts, I get a really nice roll on the wheels.I like the big toe stop.I use these skates for roller derby. Most of the girls have the low top skates, but I wanted the ankle support so went with high tops. They support my ankles well.I like the design of the boot, but I am going to add a little more character with new wheels and shoe laces.Overall I am happy with my purchase.

I was tired of the rental skates and wanted to be able to zip around the floor with my kids at the skating rink.So I bought these skates. At the time, it felt a little impulsive to spend so much on skates.Well, now I know I should have spent more and at least be happy with what I purchased.

I had such a hard time skating with these skates, and when I talked to the guy at the pro shop and 2 people online (there are a lot of resources online-do a search for quad skates) I realized these skates were made for beginning kids, never a 36 year old mom! They are not made to do the kind of things on the floor you think you might be able to do.In fact, I couldn't even turn.I kept having to push off because they would slow down.I kept adjusting them and had a professional at the rink adjust them for me, and forget it!I'm selling them at the resale shop and spending more money to at least get something decent.

Rollerblade Fury Aggressive Skates Review

If you are not sure your child will get into aggressive inline skating, you might want to get these. However, if they like the sport, they will most certainly want a REAL pair of aggressive skates within a month. Having decent equipment makes all the difference. I would recommend Razor or USD Junior skates which run around 100 bucks and are adjustable up to 4 sizes. The TRS Junior skate by rollerblade is better than this Fury skate, but not nearly as good as the other 2 junior skates mentioned. If you are not a junior size, I would recommend any other Rollerblade aggressive models...some are as cheap as 130$ or any Razor models.I have been skating for 11 year and have taught for many years.

I owned the original Lightning TRS's in college twentysome odd years ago.... I have had those, the 3 buckle men's Fusion, the spiritblade or purple thingy skates that are womens which I forgot the name of. I purchased the Twisters 243 because they are the style of the original Lightnings and more. They are MY ultimate skate. THANK YOU Rollerblade! They fit like bedroom slippers and move like a dream. I move out with them. Fabulous! I don't say this often but 10 stars... forget 5 stars. Nice when some companies get back to basics.... I love this skate. Thank you !

K2 Exo Mens Inline Skates Review

Average Reviews:

The build quality is excellent (I compared in store to roller blade brand counterparts-- price for price these have far better quality).

The fit is excellent.

The styling is excellent.

The boot is comfortable, even after 100s of uses.(In the store I found it to be far more comfortable than roller blade brand and this really sold me).

They're midrange skates with a beginner feel to them. They can be easily upgraded to pure midrange skates.

The thing that makes them beginner friendly is that the wheels are soft.Wheels have a hardness rating, so in general softer wheels give you more grip and the skates feel less slippery, and your speed is actually restrained by this. For beginners, this is quite helpful. One downside is that soft wheels will appear to wear out quickly, but that stops after a few rotations and they begin to harden up a little bit. They actually lasted about 5 months for me under intense conditions.

In January, I started learning skating by doing small circles on the patio of my backyard.I taught myself, and some 9 months and a few upgrades later I'm hopping off curbs, skating backwards, and taking my dog (or he's taking me) on wild runs down steep hills.I've lost 60 lbs in 7 months doing this (I have been at an correct body weight for my size for more than 2 months now).

That doesn't mean these skates will do the work for you, of course. But I've found that I love skating, and so the weight just sort of fell off. While I'm not on a strict diet, I do watch what I eat and avoid foods that are obviously high calorie (sorry, there's no way around that -- it's a fact of life). I am still quite satisfied with what I eat and don't feel like I'm missing anything.I'm 32 years old, and I've got essentially, a 6 pack of abs for my efforts.I'm getting off topic, but I guess my point is that exercise *can* be fun.

I skate about 30 minutes to an hour a day, about 5 days a week. And these skates handle it.I've since replaced the factory wheels (due to simply wearing them down to nothing) and bearings with faster bearings (ABEC-7) and slightly larger and harder wheels for asphalt (80mm, 82a hardness). The result made them into performance skates on a budget. I am VERY hard on these skates, but the actual skates have held up well for 9 months.I may end up replacing them just because I have scuffed them up with my usage. But they are very durable, nonetheless and have no functional problems.

Feel free to shop around.Note that you can get substantial savings for getting last year's model. You can find the 2008 model for $70 at some places online. The differences, as far as I can tell, between 2007-2009 models of this skate are the colors and graphics.Everything else looks to be the same (down to the stitching). As time goes on it will be harder to find the older models in stock, for obvious reasons. But you might save about 35% by doing that. It's an incredible value. The ones I used (and still use) were the 2008 model of the K2 Exo, which had a silver on black look.

I look forward to trying more advanced models of K2 skates.

I haven't been on blades in years and recently have been feeling that old itch again. First off these blades are not for beginners out of the box they do not come with the brake outmatched, which for me is a huge plus because Ive always taken the back brake off. The barrings are nice and smooth and seem to roll forever. They have a really nice weight to them, not too heavy at all. The sizing is a little big, comparing to my shoe size, I ordered the size 11 and I usually fit in about a 9.5-10.5 shoe. The colors are nice not tacky. Being a former soldier I the DIGI-CAM kind of swayed me a little. As far as K2 is concerned these skates are classified in their "Commission" line. Which is second to the aggressive skate. In other words this is a pretty high end piece of equipment again not for beginners. So to wrap this up I would recommend these to just about any one that's more than comfortable on 8 wheels, you wont be sorry.

The RB-10s are nice but not nicer than my old lightning TRS that I got back some 15 years ago for less money. The wheels are nice and big and the bearings will keep you moving. The boot isn't the most comfortable for being Rollerblade's top of the line memory foam. I wanted to try the boots on before buying them but couldn't find any local shops that sell the higher end boot. For the quality, I would recommend just going to Big 5 or the like and getting a hundred dollar pair.

Skorpion Multi-Terrain with 115mm wheels - Small (4-7.5) Review

Skorpion Multi-Terrain with 115mm wheels - Small
Average Reviews:

Comfortable skates that take some getting used to because they are wide and the wheels are enormous, but all the better to ride on less than perfect surfaces. One suggestion.... upgrade the bearings. The originals are inexpensive to keep the cost of the skates down, and you will do yourself a big favor by getting high quality bearings to decrease the rolling resistance of the wheels. They should turn effortlessly for a bit after you spin a wheel with your hand.

Rollerblade Men's Fusion X5 Urban Skate Review

Rollerblade Men's Fusion X5 Urban Skate
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I just ordered 2 pairs of these skates, as I wasn't sure what size I would need. I am returning BOTH of them however because of 1 huge problem with them, that isn't clearly documented anywhere.

If you are looking into these skates, you are most likely interested in them for the same reason that I was. The Fusion X5 skates are said to come with a 243mm frame, with a max wheel size of 80mm. The shorter frame is one of the defining characteristics that sets these skates apart from most fitness/recreational skates, as it allows for faster turns, and makes these skates a decent choice for freestyle and slalom skating.

The problem with this is that the skate does NOT come with a 243mm frame, as they should. The frame on this skate is a 273mm frame, which should be on the Fusion X7's.. not the X5's.

The frame that you actually get on these skates will take up to 90mm wheels, which is great if that's what you want, but is a problem if you are like me, and wanted these skates specifically for the shorter frame.

The boot, and skate, do feel very solid.. to the point that they are fairly difficult to get on and off. They are very well made, and very nice looking. I'm sure this would a great skate, if the frame size isn't an issue for you, so I am still giving it 4 stars.

I did want to post a warning about this however, as it is not mentioned anywhere in the description, or in the other reviews.

These skates are great for children just learning to skate. It is easiest for kids to learn on "walking skates" rather than the lace up ones.My daughter loves these! The second time we took her skating and she was doing it all by herself out in the middle of the floor - no help needed. The only bad thing about these skates is the package says size 6-12, but in all reality it only fits up to a size 10 shoe.At least that is the way it is with my daughter, who now wears a size 10.We bearly get her tennis shoe in these skates - no room to grow.
