Ricta, Clouds 78a Skateboard Wheel Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)These are a joy to ride on, they make most surfaces not an issue, and roll smooth. They aren't terribly quiet, but quieter than a normal wheel. Good hybird for riding around/tricks.Bearings go in easily.

Id imagine they'll need replaced faster due to the softness however.

Bones Bearings Swiss Ceramics (8mm, 8 Packs) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)These are the great Bones Swiss Ceramic bearings, which are the standard by which all other skate bearings are judged.Whereas other bearings are more or less quieter, smoother, and faster relative to others, these are truly in a class by themselves.Virtually silent, and smooth as if your wheels were rolling freely in some sort of magnetic levitation setup. However, the version for $89.99 which I purchased from Amazon are NOT the newer, labyrinth version. This wouldn't be as much as a problem for me except that Amazon has the LABYRINTH PACKAGING PICTURED ON THE ITEM's PAGE.I doubt this was intentional, but it is nevertheless misleading.

Product Description:
A message from George Powell: In the early 1980s, skateboarding was at a low ebb and it was difficult to find top quality bearings. American bearing companies like Fafnir had vacated the bearing market because the Japanese produced vast quantities of lower cost bearings and U.S. companies could not compete at the price Japanese bearings were selling for. The Japanese bearings were of good quality but were not very fast. German bearings were better, but many skaters wanted an even faster bearing to help them go higher on vert ramps or to roll farther with each push. Seeing this need, I set out to find the best bearing I could that would still be affordable to skaters. I looked in America and in Europe. My search ended at a small, custom bearing manufacturer in Switzerland. Their bearings were faster than any we had ever tested before and, at the time, only a little more expensive than German bearings. I worked with the Swiss manufacturer to optimize a bearing for skating. I changed from a standard stamped metal ball retainer to a high speed precision molded plastic one that could be removed by skaters to allow better cleaning of the bearing. We left one shield off so skaters could get to the inside of the bearing without any tools to clean and re-lubricate it. Next, we adjusted the tolerances and clearances to allow the bearing to take the combination side and vertical loads imposed by skating better than normal bearings do (which are mostly designed for electric motors). Finally, we replaced the usual lubricant with a special one we developed ourselves called Bones Speed Cream. Re-engineering this fine bearing for skating produced the fastest, most sought after, most competition successful bearing in the history of our sport.

Hillbilly Butt Pads Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)After reading and comparing reviews with the variety of impact shorts available on the market, I took a plunge and made the purchase of these shorts from Amazon for a snowboarding trip. The hillbilly impact shorts that I actually received does not reflect the hideously colored shorts amazon has misrepresented, as the shorts are actually black in color. What a relief!! I wear a 31-32 waist and followed the size chart which designated a size small. The fit of the small, was snug at the waist, not too loose or tight with a thin thermal under. The thigh cuffs have elastic material in them to stretch across the outer diameter of your thigh, since my thigh's aren't big the thigh cuffs for the shorts were free floating which isn't entirely detrimental to the overall purpose of the shorts. Unlike other designs out there, I never once had to realign the shorts due to any shifts in the padding material under my pants. The padding initially may appear to be bulky, but let me tell you these pads really offer the protection that is necessary for snowboarding pitfalls. However, on the same note you might have to buy a pant size up due the bulky nature of the padding. During my snowboarding trip, I caught a number of wrong edges and had my tail end slam against the packed snow so many times I lost count. There were moments when I thought I broke my coccyx, but thanks to the tail shield in the design I can still sit normally at the end of the day. At the end of the trip, I had absolutely no bruising in any of the areas under my impact shorts.

pros: price, padding, tail shield, comfortable

cons: bulky...requires sizing up a pants size, undetachable padding, misrepresented armadillo colored shorts in example image

Bones Hardcore Skateboard TruckBushings (Hard) Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)These bushings are a lot better than the cheap bushings that come preinstalled in trucks these days.I like these extra hard core ones because not only will your truck setup be more light weight (because you can forego the bottom metal washers when using these bushings) but when you lock the trucks down really tight they dont crack, split, or come apart like the default ones do.At most skate related shops I order from you cannot order just one box of these (one box takes care of one truck), and are only sold in sets of two. However, here at Amazon.com be sure to order two boxes if you want to take care of both trucks on your skateboard. Its even more misleading by the fact that if you look at the picture above, it distinctly shows TWO BOXES!I thought that when you put "1" in the drop-down menu above, you would get 1 set, not only one box.So, here I am with only one box of bushings when in fact two are needed.. woe is me.

Bones Swiss Bearings - 8-Pack Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I've been using these bearings in my inline skates since 2005.My first set survived 2 years on the cobblestone streets of Boston, then another two years on the nasty pavement of NYC.With a cleaning and an oiling every 100 miles or so (once every two weeks, for me), they roll smooth for years. The only reason I have to buy new ones is because I left my first set in alcohol (to degrease them) for too long, and they rusted.

Youth Vapor Adjustable Inline Skates Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I gave these rollerblades as a gift and my nephew couldnt even stand up because the rollerblades had no grip and he just slid around and they were not safe. I contacted the seller and they contacted me back promptly but their return policy SUCKS! All I could get was a credit and they were going to charge me a %10 restocking fee if they didnt get the rollerblades back within 10 days of contacting me. Crappy product... even crappier return policy. Save your time and money... if you want cheap rollerblades that are at least safe, go to Wal mart or Targert.
