Don Jackson Freestyle Ladies Figure Skates Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)When I started skating, I of course used the skating rinks boots.Naturally, I felt uncomfortable and when I realized that I could possibly be good at skating, I asked my skating teacher what she would recommend. She started me out with a low level Jackson boot.As I progressed and started to land single jumps and started to compete, I moved up to the Freestyle boot.I find it to be a stable boot and gives great support on jumps. It also comes with a great blade for my level of skating. When doing edging moves, I feel confident.

The only draw back to the boot; is the break in period.I found the ankle area to be unforgiving and have to use bunga pads to skate now.

I look forward to upgrading again in the near future.Oh, by the way, I was 51 when I started; I'm now 56.I'll never be a Michelle Kwan, but for the price and satisfaction I get from this skate, it was worth the purchase.

StarGlide Boy's Double Runner Skate Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)It is a good skate. It does as described. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is my daughter complained about how to stop.there is no toe pick.it is smooth at the front.I don't know maybe this is for safely reasons so they don't face plant themselves trying to stop. I also tried to find an adjustable double skate so I would have the advantage of my kid getting more than one season out of it but that feature is not found in double blades only single blades.

Ice Hockey Skate Guard Plastic Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)The product, Ice Hockey Skate Guard is well made, structurally speaking, but does not stay seated on the heel of the skate, making it useless as a protector for the blades. However, with a little Yankee ingenuity, one could substitute a rubber band for the more rigid, smooth (ergo slippery) heel strap.

Please note that this is NO reflection on the retailer - they did not make these, they just sell them.Perhaps they would work for a different shaped skate, but I have Easton hockey skates and the guard is useless for them.

(More customer reviews)We recieived these skates quickly but one skate would always buckle under.
WE could not get through by phone to the company (skate buys)and gave up and took them to a local technician. He said the skates had been
storedimproperly by the company (or whoever stores them )and that
is what was causing the buckling. He showed us a way to tie the skates to beginto pull them back into shape.

Jackson Softec Tri-Grip Youth Figure Ice Skates 2009 Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I purchased these for my 5 year old daughter prior to her learn to skate class. They have been absolutely wonderful. The other girls sometimes complain of foot pain with lower priced leather skates. My daughter has never complained. They are easy to put on and remove as well due to the velcro straps. So far so good. They have never come undone.Mothers have trouble tying normal figure skates. They just can't seem to get them tight enough.I see girls skating out there and I know that their ankles are not properly supported. These are a great skate if you are a mom and will be putting your little girl on the ice by yourself. My daughter has progressed really well over the last 6 months and may be trying out for her first skating team.We may need to go to a standard skate soon..but only for the looks.I was completely satisfied with these skates.

American Athletic Mens Tricot Lined Figure Skates Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This item has a great light weight feel once you put them on.
Ice skate as long as you can with these puppies on because you will not even feel them on your feet. There great! I only gave them a 4 star rating do to the extra flappy tongue that is very hard to lay right on your foot in the inside of the boot. Also, what ever size you wear make sure you get a size bigger so you have a bit of extra room for your toes to wiggle and if like me, like to put an extra pair of socks on for cushion. Other then that, it has a great sleek look that'll have heads turning while on that ice. Baby!
