(More customer reviews)We recieived these skates quickly but one skate would always buckle under.
WE could not get through by phone to the company (skate buys)and gave up and took them to a local technician. He said the skates had been
storedimproperly by the company (or whoever stores them )and that
is what was causing the buckling. He showed us a way to tie the skates to beginto pull them back into shape.

Jackson Softec Tri-Grip Youth Figure Ice Skates 2009 Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I purchased these for my 5 year old daughter prior to her learn to skate class. They have been absolutely wonderful. The other girls sometimes complain of foot pain with lower priced leather skates. My daughter has never complained. They are easy to put on and remove as well due to the velcro straps. So far so good. They have never come undone.Mothers have trouble tying normal figure skates. They just can't seem to get them tight enough.I see girls skating out there and I know that their ankles are not properly supported. These are a great skate if you are a mom and will be putting your little girl on the ice by yourself. My daughter has progressed really well over the last 6 months and may be trying out for her first skating team.We may need to go to a standard skate soon..but only for the looks.I was completely satisfied with these skates.

American Athletic Mens Tricot Lined Figure Skates Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This item has a great light weight feel once you put them on.
Ice skate as long as you can with these puppies on because you will not even feel them on your feet. There great! I only gave them a 4 star rating do to the extra flappy tongue that is very hard to lay right on your foot in the inside of the boot. Also, what ever size you wear make sure you get a size bigger so you have a bit of extra room for your toes to wiggle and if like me, like to put an extra pair of socks on for cushion. Other then that, it has a great sleek look that'll have heads turning while on that ice. Baby!

Girl's American Adjustable Hard Shell Beginner Ice Skate - White Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I purchased these skates from helpful reviews from Amazon. The skates are nice and have the abilty to be adjusted from sizes 12 to size 2.The bottom of each boot has it were you can slide it to adjust the size of the boot.Kind of helps on spending money each year on skates. The design you see in the picture is stickers that you have to place on the boot to give it a design. The stickers are big and I don't really care for them. The skate comes with a blade cover but, the skate is not sharpened and will have to be sharpened.I've seen the price from this amount to higher amounts.

Rollerblade Zoom Ice Junior Ice Skates Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I bought these for my 4 1/2 year old son. He's worn them twice and says that he feels comfortable in them. Since they lace, velcro and snap closed it is easy to get a tight fit. The skates fit him right out of the box, so I have not had to use the size adjust feature but it appears to be easy to do.

Blade Runner Zoom Boys ice skates by Rollerblade are so cool, they actually grow with your child. No, I don't mean like Sea Monkeys, Rollerblade developed a mechanism so you can adjust the toe of the boot and slide it in to make the skate smaller, or slide it out to make the skate bigger. Not to mention the cool look with plastic molded hinged cuff for flexibility, and awesome lateral stability to strengthen little boys ankles for hours of fun. Top ratchet micro buckle closure combined with Velcro instep strap and short laces make this so easy to put on, even the youngest renegade can at least try to put them on themselves. . American Athletic 512 Girls Figure Skates

Great skate for my daughter and inexpensive.

The sizes run small on this. You might want to get a size or two larger. So much better then the rental skates -- the blade is sharp and not all dinged up.The boots probably aren't as comfortable as more expensive boots, but my daughter hasn't complained and the skates have dramatically improved her skating.

I also bought the mens skate that is basically the same model and just paid for shipping one time as sold by skatebuys through amazon with one checkout. The sizes also run small on this -- I wear a 9.5 to 10 shoe and bought a size 11 skate which fits just right. I haven't skated on sharp blades for over 20 years -- it's great(I didn't pay for the extra sharpenning and they are plenty sharp).
The boots could be a bit more comfortable especially the upper tong -- but as they break in they are getting more comfortable.
