Ice Skating Dress Glitter Velvet - Girls Sizes Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)My daughter loved it, but thank heavens I ordered a size larger than she normally wears.I ordered a 8-10 and it fits her like a glove...no grow room, good thing it stretches. Also, it leaves a glitter trail wherever she goes.I don't know how long it will stay "sparkly".

Don Jackson Freestyle Ladies Figure Skates Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)When I started skating, I of course used the skating rinks boots.Naturally, I felt uncomfortable and when I realized that I could possibly be good at skating, I asked my skating teacher what she would recommend. She started me out with a low level Jackson boot.As I progressed and started to land single jumps and started to compete, I moved up to the Freestyle boot.I find it to be a stable boot and gives great support on jumps. It also comes with a great blade for my level of skating. When doing edging moves, I feel confident.

The only draw back to the boot; is the break in period.I found the ankle area to be unforgiving and have to use bunga pads to skate now.

I look forward to upgrading again in the near future.Oh, by the way, I was 51 when I started; I'm now 56.I'll never be a Michelle Kwan, but for the price and satisfaction I get from this skate, it was worth the purchase.

Ice Hockey Skate Guard Plastic Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)The product, Ice Hockey Skate Guard is well made, structurally speaking, but does not stay seated on the heel of the skate, making it useless as a protector for the blades. However, with a little Yankee ingenuity, one could substitute a rubber band for the more rigid, smooth (ergo slippery) heel strap.

Please note that this is NO reflection on the retailer - they did not make these, they just sell them.Perhaps they would work for a different shaped skate, but I have Easton hockey skates and the guard is useless for them.

Riedell 110 Yellow Ribbon Ladies Figure Skates Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)We recieived these skates quickly but one skate would always buckle under.
WE could not get through by phone to the company (skate buys)and gave up and took them to a local technician. He said the skates had been
storedimproperly by the company (or whoever stores them )and that
is what was causing the buckling. He showed us a way to tie the skates to beginto pull them back into shape.

Saddle-style Figure Skate Bags Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Good quality fabric in a plain skate bag, no frills.Seems very sturdy. We got two, both are great colors, the mint is more like lime, the pink/purple combo is not reversible, the strap is on the pink side, purple is underneath. Easy to carry and adjust the straps. I'll have ours monogrammed.

A&R Tuff Terry Skate Guards Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)You just can't put wet-bladed skates into your bag, so bring a towel always or, better, get some skateguards like these to protect the bladees from the inevitable jostling they get in your bag.

While these guards will soak up some of the water, PLEASE do your skates a favor & wipe down the blades nice & dry with these (or a towel!) first, because your blades probably aren't stainless (in which case they'll rust in short order). Also, unlike hard plastic skateguards, these terrycloth models won't do much to protect your blades when you're walking around on them and you should NEVER walk on anything but the rubber floor of an ice rink in these: You'll probably cut through the guards and and will certainly damage your blades.

Breakaway Products SkateMate Ice Skate Sharpener Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This device is really not intended to replace a professional skate sharpening machine that is done in the pro-shops.However, for touch ups or emergency sharpening or to get a minor ding out while your on the bench this gets the job done.I find you can extend how long you have to go between sharpening too, so it will more than pay for itself over time. It is adjustable and easy to use.You should also get the replacement drums too because they do wear out. It is pretty simple to operate. For the money...it is a must-have in your hockey bag.
